History
The air wing of this small Arab gulf state was founded in 1968 and the Qatar Emiri Air Force was established in 1974. It has always used a roundel of red, pale brown and white. The fin marking was crossed Qatari flags on a black fin flash, the national flag had been in use since 1977.
